Meet your educator: Nascha Freire

Hello my friends, it’s me, Nash!
I use the pronouns she + her. I lead inclusive + educational Circle Times for children 0-5 years of age. After studying and working in Toronto’s early education sector, I decided to branch out on my own and start Songs With Nash. Through the power of music + movement, children become active participants and find joy in their learning. When children find joy in their learning moments, it creates meaningful + lasting learning pathways. At Circle Time, your child will be engaged, feel safe to be themselves and have fun!

Some facts about me that inspire my teaching method:

  • My family is from South America + I speak Spanish fluently

  • My background in gender & equity studies informs my circle time ethos. My approach is grounded in diversity, inclusion, feminism and social justice.

  • I strive to make my classes a place where everyone feels safe, included, celebrated and respected.

  • I love the earth + advocate for environmentally sustainable choices

“Nash is a fabulous teacher. My child loves the way she's so animated with her body, facial expressions + intonation of her voice! We were hooked since the first class and have been with Nash for many sessions. She takes time to recognize each child at the beginning of class, calls out things that are special to them and tries to do things that catch their attention. After a few classes with her, my child was able to sing the same songs on her own! As a parent, I love that Nash is very inclusive of all races, gender, parental roles and abilities in her teachings!”
